Your domain is your website's address (for example, yourbusiness.com). It's the first thing you decide and it stays with you for good, so it's worth choosing well.

What exactly a domain is

It's the name people type to reach your website. It's made up of the name (yourbusiness) and the extension (.com, .co, .org…). You lease it by the year.

How to choose a good domain

• Short and easy to remember and spell.
• Ideally, with your brand name in it.
• Avoid hyphens and numbers, which cause confusion when said out loud.
• Pick the right extension: .com is the most universal; .co, .org or a country code if you're targeting a specific country.

What if the .com is taken?
